Whether your child wants to be the next Beatrice Wood, Usain Bolt, Bobby Fischer, or have fun STEM style, there is something for everyone after school this Spring 2019.

Sign up early! Classes are on a first come, first served basis and registration ends 9/15 8p. Students will be taken at end of school day to the program and will be picked up by parent or TLC by 4:30pm.

MONDAYS (Dates: 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11)

  • Typing: Basics and Beyond (Gr. 2-5) – $80 Students will have fun with Mrs. Bossio by learning the basics and advance their typing skills! Develop techniques and speed that will benefit them for school assignments, district and state tests, and the future. Students will be so engaged in the typing lessons that they will forget they are learning! They will have lots of fun playing games on the computer. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • Art – Under the Sea and Out of This World (Gr. 1-3) – $95 Come have fun exploring mermaids/men and other sea creatures, plus planets, stars, and other things out of this world with Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Yorulmaz! Bring home something special each week. Materials included in fee. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • Middlebrook Spartan Team (Gr. 3-5) – $95 Spartan participants will participate in a variety of exercises and activities that incorporate running, strength training, endurance, and balance. Students will walk, run, climb, crawl, and jump their way through obstacles all while having fun. Team building, goal setting, and positive thinking to live a healthy life will be encouraged through the six weeks. The Spartan Team, led by Mr Elliff and Mrs Ebert, will celebrate their hard work by participating in Middlebrook’s own Spartan Race during the last session. Important Note: For each class, students must wear running sneakers, bring a small snack and water (bottle and dress in layers as they will be both inside and outside) VOLUNTEER NEEDED

TUESDAYS (Dates: 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 11/12, 11/19)

  • Basketball (Gr. 1-5) – $90 Basketball skills and fun at the DeSantis Basketball Academy – learn basketball fundamentals, play games, contests and fun. T-shirts will be given to each participant. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • Code Ninjas (Gr. 2-5) – $120 Why play video games when you can build your own? In the 6 week session, the kids will learn about how a game is built, Changing an Idea into a design for a game and learning to code while having lots of fun!! Code AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT SPRING 2019 PLEASE NOTE DATES OF EACH CLASS!! Ninjas provides curriculum that gives the opportunity for the children to explore computers, coding, website building, Robotics, AI and more. VOLUNTEER NEEDED

WEDNESDAYS (Dates: 9/25, 10/2, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6)

  • Gym Games (Gr. 1-2) – $80 Gym Games I, with Mr. Elliff will feature some of the most popular P.E. activities. Play your favorite games like Monster Ball, Parachute games, Bingo Bowling and Pirates of the Caribbean just to name a few. Have fun and show good sportsmanship. Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • STEM Makers Space (Gr. 2-5) – $110 Calling all creators! Come join us at Makerspace Mania, as we us STEM, to design, build, experiment, and explore. Each week students will delve into a different activity encouraging them to explore their creative side. Instructors Mrs Balzano and Mrs Rydelek will provide consumable materials. VOLUNTEER NEEDED

THURSDAYS (Dates: 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/21)

  • American Girl Club (Gr. 2-5) – $90 Have fun with Mrs Bossio and Mrs Marini exploring the lives of your favorite American Girl dolls and storybook characters through fun crafts, games, and activities. So bring your AG or Our Generation doll and discover these American Girls’ talents and hobbies as well as your own! VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • Gym Games II (Gr. 3-5) – $80 Gym games II with Mr Elliff will feature some of the most popular P.E. activities. Play your favorite games like Monster Ball, Mission Impossible, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Border Patrol, just to name a few. Have fun and show good sportsmanship. Please wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
  • STEAM (Gr. 1-2) $95 Come join Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Velazquez to explore, create and build through, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. All new activities! Materials included with fee. VOLUNTEER NEEDED

FRIDAYS

  • Chess Club (Gr. 2-5) – $80 Want to make friends, have fun, show sportsmanship? Then join the Chess Club No experience required!! Beginners to advanced players welcome. Join Mr. Elliff while you learn the game, learn strategy and match wits with other players. VOLUNTEER NEEDED
